The World Poker Association (WPA) www.wpapoker.com announced an additional membership opportunity to players looking to join the non-profit governing body of tournament poker. Individual, non-voting membership is now being offered for only $10 annually. Benefits include: participation in WPA events, inclusion into the player ranking system, access to view the WPA discussion forums, and future benefits such as meal/travel compensation, health insurance, and sponsorship opportunities.
Individuals can still sign up as a voting member for $50 annually, or as a founding member for $1000. Other founding members that have joined the WPA include Jesse Jones, Phil Helmuth, Joseph Hachem, Barry Greenstein, Kenna James, Blair Rodman, Joe Beevers, Victor Ramdin, and Kristy Gazes. Voting members include Casey Kastle, David Coclough, Tom McEvoy, and Hoyt Corkins.
The Word Poker Association looks to elevate the integrity of tournament poker for the benefit of the entire industry.
